Never taken an online yoga class online before? Don’t worry, it’s easy! Here are some tips that might be helpful for you to get set up before class.
🗓 Zoom Links & Registration
Each class will have a unique Zoom link and you will need to register before class. Once you register you will receive a confirmation email containing the Zoom link to join the upcoming class.
🎥 Recordings
If you can’t make it to a live class, a recording of the session will be available online for approximately 48 hours after class so you can flow when suits you.
🧱 Props
Aside from your yoga mat grab blocks, a blanket, a strap, and bolster or at-home alternatives like hard cover books, towels, a belt, or pillows. Don’t worry if you don’t have something handy, you can always modify and I try to offer up different options. Always listen to your body and do what’s feeling right for you where you are today!
💻 Optimal Viewing on Zoom
For the best view of demonstration, I recommend setting your Zoom to view the Speaker (as opposed to Gallery), Pin my video to your screen, and set it to Full Screen.
I also recommend having your computer elevated, at some distance away, and angled so that you're mostly visible in the camera (if limited, the torso and upper legs are most helpful for me to see). I typically start flows on the right side so to best see instruction set up in a way where you'll be facing the camera if you're working on the right side first.
🎵 Music
I'll share a Spotify playlist for your listening pleasure in the newsletter before class. Set up your Spotify to play from a separate device than where your Zoom is playing from (e.g. if you have Zoom on the computer, setup Spotify on your phone or an external speaker). Ideally, the playlist is not on shuffle and I'll count you down to press play when it's time to start.

Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, injuries, or anything ahead of your first class. Remember to listen to your body and modify as much or as little as needed. Child’s Pose and Downward Facing Dog are always great options to find rest. And most importantly, remember to breathe! If you’re breathing, you’re doing yoga!
